Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, has recently expressed his concerns over the complexity of Layer 2 solutions in the blockchain ecosystem. Layer 2 solutions are designed to improve the scalability of the blockchain, enabling it to process more transactions per second. They do this by moving part of the workload off of the main blockchain, into a secondary layer.
