Vice President Mike Pence has officially suspended his 2024 presidential campaign as of today. The decision comes as his fundraising became stagnant and his poll numbers dropped. Pence had struggled to gain traction in the crowded GOP presidential primary and announced today that he will no longer be pursuing the nomination.
The Vice President thanked his supporters for their unwavering loyalty and promised to rededicate himself to working with the Trump administration on policies that continue to make America great.
Sources close to Pence report that he was encouraged by President Trump to remain in the cabinet and focus on helping the administration, however, ultimately Pence realized that he no longer had a viable path to the nomination and made the decision to suspend his campaign.
