Rescuers in British Columbia pause efforts to save an orphaned orca calf stranded in a lagoon

Rescuers in British Columbia have temporarily suspended efforts to save an orphaned killer whale calf that has been stranded in a lagoon. The female calf, estimated to be between three and four months old, appeared in the lagoon on Oct. 30 and is too young to survive on her own.
